Black Ops DLC - Are You Ready?

“Friendly RC-XD Deployed!”

On February 1, 2011 Treyarch will be releasing their first map pack, “First Strike”, for Call of Duty: Black Ops. The map pack will encompass 4 new competitive multi-player maps, along with one Zombie map. As part of Microsoft’s deal, the Xbox will be getting these long before the PS3 or Nintendo Wii will.

PS3 fan boys, you just got pwned!

The map pack will cost 1200 Microsoft Points (MS) points, which is $15 for those who aren’t familiar with Xbox Live’s point system.

If you did not know about this, I’m sure you’re eager to hear some details, so here are some details on the maps:

Discovery

Set in an antarctic German research center.

Berlin Wall

Set near the famous Checkpoint Charlie in Germany.

Stadium

A map set inside a United States hockey rink.

Kowloon

Set in Chinese city roof tops.

Ascension (Zombie Map)

No news was given on this one, but I’m sure it’ll be a blast.

By the way, some new additions to the maps as well are: zip lines and exploding bridges – both shown on the video link below.

New DLC

So, how many of you are excited to get your hands on these new maps?

finally some new maps. If there is anything that blows about Ops it's the lack of maps. Additionally, not being able to select the maps you want to play in makes it even worse. You might end up playing the same map 6 times in a row if you jump around different rooms. UGH! I welcome the new maps. Hopefully I will be as awesome in those as I am in the others HA!
