Do we really need another thing to waste our time on? I don't mind wasting time at all when what I'm doing actually makes sense. The "SumoBooth" is an application that will allow you to look like a Sumo wrestler. There are that many people out there who really want to know what they would like as a Sumo Wrestler!?!?!
The user has to simply upload a photo of themselves to the app. The app then ads on pounds to the picture and tops your head off with a top knot hair style. The creators of the app said this:
"We do a lot of apps involving faces -- we have one with zombies -- and we thought that turning people into sumo wrestlers would be kind of fun," said Masaharu Yoshimori, chief planning officer at the company, which offers the app for 115 yen (86 pence).
"For this particular app we thought it would be nice to show Japanese culture to the world, and have fun at the same time."
I guess it is fun if you have money to waste but can't you do this online for free?

ReplyDeleteI think this is hilarious. Too bad so many Americans (including myself) already look like Sumo wrestlers lol. I'm sure it will do better in Japan than it will in the U.S.

ahaha, I for one really could not care less what i'd look like as a sumo wrestler lol, but I am sure it must hold some kind of novelty otherwise why on earth would they come up with such a bizarre ap?
